ARTROM STEEL TUBES, one of the leading pipe companies in Europe, also operating in Romania in Reșita and Slatina, received on Friday, May 19, the visit of E.S. Mr. Stefan Tomašević, Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia in Romania.
His Excellency was greeted by the President of the Board of Directors of the company, Mr. Adrian Popescu and the executive director, Mr. Cristian Drînciu. During this private meeting, the Ambassador of Serbia took an interest in the ARTROM Group’s activity, visited the pipe factory in Slatina and was delighted with the company’s prospects.
ARTROM STEEL TUBES was acquired at the end of last year by Hefestos Capital, specialized in investment banking, headquartered in Belgrade and operating in Europe, Asia and Africa. Following the transaction, ARTROM became the largest company owned by Serbian investors.
The company produces at the steel plant in Reșița the necessary steel for the pipe plant in Slatina, from where it delivers products to Europe, the United States of America and Asia, having as commercial agents its branches in Europe and the USA. The ARTROM companies in Romania have about 2,350 employees (1,550 in Slatina, 770 in Reșița and about 30 in the representative offices in Europe and the USA) and a business of 2 billion lei, 85% of which is exported to over 600 clients in Europe and America.
